Scott Turman is an American technologist, entrepreneur, and author with over two and a half decades of technology consulting experience. Before founding BrightRay Publishing, he honed his expertise by writing code and developing cryptographic systems for prestigious organizations such as NASA, the US Department of Defense, Disney, and other Fortune 500 companies.

Professional Journey

Founder and CEO of BrightRay Publishing: An American company specializing in writing and publishing services for founders, CEOs, celebrities, sports figures, politicians, and other professionals.
Companies Founded: Established two organizations under the BrightRay trademark—BrightRay Consulting and BrightRay Publishing—both based in Winter Park, Florida.
Author: Co-authored two books:
- Stop Getting Fuked by Technical Recruiters: A Nerd’s Guide to Negotiating Salary and Benefits*, which reached Amazon’s Top 10 rank in its category.
- How to Build Your Brand with a Book: Establishing Yourself as a Published Expert, published in the summer of 2021.

Backstory and Personal Life

Scott’s passion for technology and innovation is deeply rooted in his family history. Named after Scott Carpenter, the fourth American in space, he carries forward a legacy of exploration and advancement—his father, Arthur Turman, worked with Scott Carpenter on the Mercury-Atlas 7 mission at NASA.

Residing in Maitland, Florida, Scott lives with his wife, Belgian architect Birgit Turman, and their son. His multifaceted experiences as a technologist, entrepreneur, and author uniquely position him to engage with guests across the spectrum of business and innovation, bringing listeners engaging narratives that both inform and inspire.
